Useful mage macros

Some macros I've been using for a long time. You'll probably find most of them in any mage guide, but there are few i made on my own

Tap to IB, tap again to cancel (same macro can be applied to Invisibility)

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Ice Block
/stopcasting
/cancelaura Ice Block
/cast Ice Block
Instant Blink, whatever you do (same macro can be applied to Counterspell)

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Blink
/cancelaura Ice Block
/stopcasting
/cast Blink
Control Waterbolt togle and WE summon with 1 button

Code: Select all

#showtooltip [pet] Waterbolt; Summon Water Elemental
/cast [nopet] Summon Water Elemental
/click [pet] PetActionButton1
/click [pet] PetActionButton4 RightClick
Get Serpent-Coil Braid, gives you around 1k free mana when ooc. Very helpful to reduce downtime in BG and while leveling. This macro equips the trinket when mana gem is off cooldown, uses the mana gem, and on 2nd tap puts back other trinket
Replace XXXX with item ID if your usual trinket in 2nd trinket slot. Change 14 to 13 to do the swapping in 1st trinket slot

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Mana Sapphire
/script x,y,z=GetItemCooldown(33312); if y==0 then c=30720 else c=XXXX end; EquipItemByName(c,14);
/use Mana Sapphire
Classic mouse hover remove curse (same thing is useful for poly, counterspell and few others too)

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Remove Curse
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] [] Remove Curse
Left click teleport, right click Portal. There's many variations with this macro adding more ctrl/alt/shift modifiers, but i can never remember which is which, so i just keep each city on separate button

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Teleport: Dalaran
/cast [button:2] Portal: Dalaran; Teleport: Dalaran
Right click AB, left click AI, alt-left click AI on self

Code: Select all

#showtooltip Dalaran Intellect
/cast [button:2] Arcane Brilliance; [modifier:alt,target=player] [] Arcane Intellect

1st one useful yea

focus cast can be simply bind with default UI to modifier key (alt/ctrl/shift).
so when u cast poly with G, the focus poly will be shift-G. No need for macros for that :)
