Constant DoT Aura of Bosses doing Crits

This bug is basically about the constantly damaging auras of bosses such as the aura of the Abomination on the Professor Putricide encounter (above), Mutated Plague from PP himself in P3, Shroud of Sorrow from BQL, Frost Aura from Sindy, etc etc etc.


These auras are not designed to crit and this leads to increased damage taken on boss fights. It certainly doesn't help on boss fights that aren't 100% working (Sindy, PP, to name a few).


PS: I only took SS of the Abom's aura crit-ing 'cos it was easier to take and test but yeah the auras of the aforementioned bosses, among other bosses do crit.


PSS (or PPS): On a side note, when the Abom's aura killed someone I got credit for the quest Make Them Pay!.

since icc has been opened... but I guess nobody bothered to report it, we had this bug present back on BC, but we never thought about it being bugged, then we merged here, and we saw they were criting here too, so we thought that was the way it should be.

No. Spells that bear the attribute SPELL_ATTR2_CANT_CRIT cannot crit. That's why I found it odd.

An example of spells like these is Rogue's Shiv.

and on that note, maybe check toc bosses, I believe anub's penetrating cold and light/shadow dmg from the twins may crit aswell... haven't payed attention but maybe someone will in the future raids

looks like SPELL_ATTR2_CANT_CRIT isn't implemented for passive damaging auras or something.. the onlmy mention of it is in Unit::isSpellCrit() but that's obviously not called, since for this case it shouldn't even get to SPELL_ATTR2_CANT_CRIT check:
